Breakfast with an Executive: Ernie Garateix
Breakfast with an Executive: Ernie Garateix Mr. Garateix has served as Heritage’s CEO since 2020, after previously holding roles as COO (2014–2020) and EVP (2012–2014). With a long-standing career in the insurance industry, he brings extensive expertise in claims, underwriting, operations, and systems analysis. He began his career at USF&G in claims and call center management, and later served as AVP of IT at FCCI Insurance Group (2000–2007). Before joining Heritage, he was VP of Operations at American Integrity Insurance Group for five years. He holds an MBA in Management Information Technology from the University of Tampa and the CPCU® designation.
