This October, we are honored to welcome Dr. Joseph E. Pizzorno, N.D., founding president of Bastyr University and globally recognized pioneer of science-based natural medicine, for an inspiring interview and Q&A session with longtime PSBJ Publisher and frequent CEO interviewer, Mike Flynn. For more than five decades, Dr. Pizzorno has been reshaping healthcare—moving it from a disease-driven model to one grounded in prevention, personalization, and whole-person health. As the founder of Bastyr, the first accredited natural medicine university in the world, he established a rigorous, science-based approach to naturopathic medicine that has become the global standard. His leadership has extended far beyond academia: co-authoring the Textbook of Natural Medicine (used worldwide), advising U.S. presidents and national health agencies, and lecturing in over 30 countries. During this exclusive luncheon, Dr. Pizzorno will reflect on his extraordinary journey—how his vision and persistence built institutions, influenced public policy, and empowered a movement toward whole-person health.
